Seriously doubt he'd intentionally give up any 100 for a 50s record. Just not Sanga-stylesNot sure if I want Sanga to get his ton or get out before so his quest for 100 fifties before he retires from ODIs stays alive..
Well considering that this "quest" is something I came up with a couple weeks ago, I'm pretty sure he's not aware of its immense importance...Seriously doubt he'd intentionally give up any 100 for a 50s record. Just not Sanga-styles
Thought the same only to realise I've always hated their changes initially. But not a great 1st impression.Ugh, I want to know the score but I don't want to deal with the abortion that is the new Cricinfo site.
There is literally no one else to pickWhat really is the point of Dimuth coming so far down the order? Such a pointless selection.
Yep. He had played two ODIs before they picked him in the World Cup squad -- both in 2011, one against Scotland and one against England in which he scored 4.There is literally no one else to pick
Which serves them right for picking him in the first place really
This is why the Tharanga non-selection baffles me so much..Yep. He had played two ODIs before they picked him in the World Cup squad -- both in 2011, one against Scotland and one against England in which he scored 4.
If he was a chance to be picked in the World Cup squad he should've been playing a lot more in the last two years. I realise he was Plan B once Kusul failed but when you're rotating players in and out of the side as much as Sri Lanka were, Plan B for for an unproven young opener definitely should've been explored. It absolutely reeks of "oh he scored a Test ton, lets get him in the ODI side too".
Depends on the context. It could be any of the following...Pardon my ignorance but what does "WAG" mean?
Remember the talk before the test was about picking an opener for the world cup if the did well in the 5 day games? There is literally no one else to pick
Which serves them right for picking him in the first place really
