someone explain this post to me because this makes no goddamn sense
***** brought up colonialism in remark to a sport comment. Pretty irrelevant? I was on my phone and quoted the wrong guy, tried to delete it.

India's probably got to just be looking at peaking at the right time. Being away for so long, they won't perform consistently throughout the next month or so, they just have to get themselves into a spot where they only need to win three games in a row and hope that they do.
We are badly out of form. Funny thing is you see lots of India digs on here at their bowlers, at their players, one "put them in their place" comment has everyone horrified.

Actually, on reflection the only time this "put back in their place" bollocks would apply is if a team or set of supporters were doing a lot of trash talk before a game and talking themselves up to a level which they not. I haven't seen any such talk coming out of the England camp or from any of the Poms on here.
Well David Lloyd has been. He has been belittling India for months. I didn't mean put them in their place for that reason anyway jeez. Just that India are superior and must restore the balance. We whitewashed England twice in India in odis and also 3-1 in England recently.

" experimenting Indian team" - who are all the missing players then ??
They are all missing as a unit and look at the order of the batting/bowling. It's all about putting people in unfamiliar positions. I wish they take the last game seriously as that's the best way to get into form. Not treat it as a warm up.

To be honest, a few of the new Indian posters who seem to have cropped just in time for the WC makes me feel kinda bad about being an India supporter here at CW... Come on guys, every team has its dire supporters here, but even the direness has to have some limits...

And on that post, yeah it was a stupid thing to say, but I have seen much worse on these forums... So.....
That must be so hard for you having such unruly savage fans in your country who disregard the law. It's a problem unique to India of course. What can we do?

Well I sort of agree with Dhoni183 tbh. "Put them in their place" is hardly a comment worthy of such outrage. It's silly, and it WC season which means there'll be lots of new members making kinda dim remarks... let's just move on.

Will bear in mind to not mention things like it again as it's a sensitive board unless you bash India.

I really feel like PC has gone mad here "put them in their place." Is a phrase we often hear with regards to one team or individual trying to gain the other advantage over the other!

Yet one poster here is being vilified for saying it. If you dish it out the you should be prepared to have some back.

Dhoni 183* said he likes Test Cricket, I personally hate Test Cricket with a dark and secret passion and always have, I only ever watch the 5 days stuff if there is nothing else on the box, it's all about ODI Cricket for me, T20 is ok for entertainment but not as good as ODI IMO.

ODIs and Tests for me, but love T20 mainly IPL.

If India are putting on a big batting partnership in tests, I would bet you would tune in?
