Of course I have. Not super old bats, but certainly some good ones from the 90s.Have you ever actually held them to compare? Don't know why I'm asking as from your posting it's obvious you haven't

In general they are for the same "amount" of timber.FWIW I just hate it when people say they're lighter. Even if they feel lighter, they're not lighter!

Yes, which is where the misconception comes from, I believe. People confusing volume with mass.Less dense? Same weight but wider blade, edges, and more power.
Had there been any swing Dhoni would have nicked it to 3rd slipLove this one.
That is where you are wrong mate. It wouldn't be morbid at all it would be a beautiful tribute to a young man who was battling valiantly at his chosen profession. It would just be morbid. It's just a fun game. People don't want to be reminded of someone's premature death everytime they load up stickcricket at lunch at school or in the office.
It's funny, as I was writing that yesterday I thought there may have been a Dhoni comeback. Tbf he played the swing well in England, early impact point as Nasser said, really got me going, rewriting the coaching manual!Had there been any swing Dhoni would have nicked it to 3rd slip
Ridiculous comparison. We have Remembrance Day every year remembering the soldiers that have died fighting for their nation, people wear poppies no one calls that morbid but it's seen as a celebration and a time to reflect.
In what way? It seems like a perfectly reasonable and fair comparison as far as I am concernedRidiculous comparison.
Can you post your dealer's number?Tbf he played the swing well in England
Completely agree. There is no comparison.Ridiculous comparison.
One's an annual event to solemnly remember people who lost their lives in war. The other's an Internet video game.In what way? It seems like a perfectly reasonable and fair comparison as far as I am concerned
I think you are losing site of the real message of Remembrance Day and all that it stands for! One's an annual event to solemnly remember people who lost their lives in war. The other's an Internet video game.
