Amazingly crap, but credit Aus - death bowled well. 20 runs less than we should have got but still a solid total. Its a bit sticky and difficult to force the pace on.

Might as well have the tail bat ahead of Bopara at death.
I have been sitting and watching and trying to piece together an opinion. I remember once we drew the names out of the hat and I got number 11. I walked out to bat with 6 balls to go and I couldn't lay bat on ball to save myself while my team's regular tailenders were used to that situation and seem to be able to slog from ball one every inning. So even though you said that in jest there is some merit to it.
After some long thought though - Bopara has succeeded in the last 10 overs of an inning before, and so has Buttler. I think the bowling just made them look incompetent. Australia have obviously thought far more about death bowling than any other team in the world and they showed it tonight.
Their accuracy and field placings were brilliant. And their strategies of how to construct an over were excellent. I am not sure any other team can match them in death bowling at least.
I was going to come into this thread when the score was 200-2 and say maybe England could be a factor after all in this world cup. But I am glad I didn't post that now.

Three Comments/questions:

1 - How has Bell only scored 4 ODI centuries? He's a freak.
2 - Why is Woakes opening the bowling when you've got Anderson and Broad in the side?
3 - Why do we have to put up with Watson in the regular line-up when Shaun Marsh can do this?

Eng paying $2.12 to win. Someone explain why they are not favs?
Maybe because it's a 350 pitch?
