Yeah you don't get near that standing up.Good thing Sangakkara wasn't standing up to the stumps then or that would've been four!
Uh what signs? He's always driven the ball straight regardless of its length.****s sake, I should have kept quiet.
Still, the signs are there that he's back.
He wasn't scratching around with poor weight transitions. He doesn't have the most sound technique in the world but when he's relaxed in his mind he's not so tense and strikes the ball a lot cleaner, and even finds his single zones.Uh what signs? He did get a good ball though.
There's no point standing up for Guptill. Lots of point standing up for McCullum or Sanga/Dilshan/Jayawardene.Yeah you don't get near that standing up.
Wouldn't go that far; they've got two of them and one of them bats five.Sri Lanka appear to be trialling a 90s New Zealand bowling line up of medium pacers.
He's definitely bowled quicker than he used to in limited overs cricket in general over the last year or so. He was about this pace when he first debuted but then cut his pace back into a genuine medium pace territory for ages.Is it me or does Mathews look a lot quicker than he used to be. Ignoring the speed guns here a bit.
He did look much better. Even almost got a cover drive away but predictably hit it straight to the fielder. He wasn't scratching around with poor weight transitions. Malinga and Kula in form are going to be such an awkward opening attack. The more I watch this team the more I think they're being underrated coming into the tournament. Malinga, Kula, Mathews/Perera, Senananananaa and fatty is a quality attack.cricinfo commentary comments railing on how SL bowlers are bowling at <130k and it's not entertaining.. why exactly should SL offer pace on the ball to a pace-loving NZ line-up?
Malinga has been feasting on the rice & curry and been below his best for a while now.. I agree though if he was at his best SL will be a good sleeper pick.Malinga and Kula in form are going to be such an awkward opening attack.
