***Official**** Sri Lanka in New Zealand 2014/2015

Having a bowler that can do 150k+ is really a double edged sword - especially in ODIs, unless you are getting a couple wickets+ every game it's more likely that it's not worth the risk imo.
I think the good thing about Milne is that - in theory at least - he should decrease the likelihood of hacks having a good day. I certainly think that should be the case if he bowls like he did in the UAE. Sri Lanka have three - arguably four - world class ODI batsmen in their top five though, and I think he's nerfed more against good batsmen than someone like Southee or Mills.

I have no doubt they've already figured out in training that Ronchi isn't up to it.
Quite possibly. It's the only reason I can think of too.

It's bloody awful tbh.

His footwork used to look pretty sharp but the gulf between Watling and him is huge now. It's not good enough.

Latham is not a good enough keeper either tbh, particularly against spin.

Yeah this is a decent point, that said McC pretty much does the same thing with Southee/Mills/Vettori to support him.

lol poor old Mitch is really uncoordinated in the field isn't he

Not the first time I've seen him drop a dolly & won't be the last....really a matter of where to hide him in the field.

Those aren't as easy as they seem because they come off the face of the bat and you're sorta blindsided but still a sitter and still should've been taken.

Put him where he's unlikely to need to catch. He's a decent ground fielder IMO so having him run along the boundary shouldn't be an issue.

Interesting playlist between overs...
Welcome to New Zealand ODIs! You usually get a mix of catchy but annoying pop songs from the 60s and 70s, which is great in its randomness. Playlist has been a bit more modern today but the same theme basically applies.

Disagree, he's an ordinary ground fielder at best, runs with lead in his boots. Preferably you want him somewhere where he 'doesn't' need to run much. Hence why those 45 degree positions on either & off or on-side are probably the best places to hide him.

At the Domestic match between Wellington and Otago the other week, it was even more random than normal. Got some expletive ridden piece of hip hop between overs at some point. Something about grabbing his balls and being a mother****er. Seemed marginally inappropriate. If I could have understood a word other than "balls" and "mother****er" then I'd look up what the tune was, but no dice.
