You guys are being a bit ridiculous, this innings of his was crap yes but saying hes been bad for a while is absurd. He averaged 66 last year with a 88 SR which is fine.

His numbers have been excellent, don't think anyone's been arguing that.

The greater point/question TH raised is whether it's fine to often be going at 25 off 50 balls? In hindsight it's worked for him since he's turned a number of sluggish starts into run-a-ball hundreds, but if he does get out after 40-50 ball it can be a liability.

I guess as a skilled and expreienced player you make the call as you see it. Would we be any better off if Taylor had scored his 34 off 20 or so?

I should feel good about SL getting back into the game, but if you choke like this in a non-series, how are NZ gonna cope under pressure in the WC?

Knowing that SL won't win it this year, I'd rather NZ or SA get it done this time but it doesn't look pretty.
