Would rather have had McLaren and Wiese in, than those two.

Also, taking two spinners to a World Cup in Australiasia is silly, I would have left Phangiso at home and taken Tsotsobe.
I'd rather have a 13 man squad instead of 15 if I had to pick Behardien and Parnell.

Proteas already have 5 pacers in the squad, picking a sixth isn't necessary imo. Having 2 spinners in the squad is debatable. WC is being played at the tail end of the summer when pitches would be a tad on the slower side.

Players like Behardien and Parnell are recipe for disaster.
Probably one of the all time great match losing knocks that from Behardien, when everyone was going mental he scrapes to 8 of 12.. Not as bad as the Yuvraj 11 of 22 in the World Cup Final, but still deserves to be remembered for how awful it is. Parnell is strange, I do think he can be quality on his days, but he does turn into a mini Dernbach when the pressure is on,wouldn't be confident of him defending a low score when the opposition batsmen are on the charge sadly.

I am sure it has been posted but can't be bothered to wade through the posts but why isn't Narine playing?

Board knows he's going to get reported for chucking next time he plays and aren't confident he'll pass so are hiding him so he can play most of the world cup before the test results comes out.

South Africa have a real problem in their bowling department imo.. Even Steyn doesn't really give them good control in ODIs with his death bowling being pretty average. They have 2 ATG ODI batsmen but I feel like they won't go far this time around either. I'd like to see both NZ + SA make it to the semis possibly.

Not true. Again the WICB's wonderful communication levels are coming to the fore and thus feeding the trolls.

What I heard out of T & T was that the TTCB had him tested voluntarily just after this all happened and Narine narrowly failed. So they did some work with him and now he is bowling within the legal limit and thus is ready for the World Cup. Of course this is a bit of a risk as he has had no cricket under his belt and the action could deteriorate under pressure but he's so good that I guess it's worth the risk.

If anything that's worse. They know his action was illegal so are hiding him from being officially tested until its too late. If he's bowling within the limit now why not play him?

My understanding is he has literally been working on his action over the last few weeks. He is in the T & T squad for our List A competition starting on Thursday. The World Cup is the next real competitive cricket that West Indies will play and he has been selected for it.

I know many of you like having a go at Narine for some reason (possibly because WW has rammed him down your throat so many times) but this is one rare case where things have been done relatively sensitively. He was not reported by the ICC, the WICB were under no obligation to test his action and make him undergo remedial work but they did anyway.

I disagree. They were under obligation. Maybe not according to the regulations, but according to the responsibility of being a cricket board, they were certainly under obligation.

It's great that they got him tested. If he has now passed I would think that an official test before the world cup is also their obligation.

That would go some way to ensure he's not called during the WC, which would be an absolute farce and a black mark on the tournament.

Since when do the WICB take any of their cricket board obligations seriously? For example, selecting the best team comes a distant second behind scoring political points!

I hope the WICB ask the test centre to submit the results to the ICC and that will be that. Still, anything is possible with them lets face it.

So, ODI series starts today, think this will be the closest of the three.

Don't see either team bossing it, but I think SA may take it (that may be my heart rather than my head speaking).

Going to Wanderers on Sunday for the 2nd game, so if it's anything like the T20 there, I should be in for a good day of seeing about 1 000 runs scored.
