He always gets stinkers doesn't he? Got a rotten decision in the chase in NZ and a stinker in Adelaide,and their is probably more as well.

On the other hand I find he seems to play some really stupid shots; particularly early on in his innings. Not quite the same thing, but he does get some luck as well.

If Watson was our no.6 I'd take it. He's a better all-rounder than MMarsh atm. We just need a solid no.3 which isn't an easy position. Watson playing at 3 deserves the flak it gets.

I don't see any other all rounder who anybody could say would be guaranteed to do better than him in the Ashes. Marsh is inexperienced in test cricket and in England, Faulkner, Henriques? Eh no.


He's an uninspiring choice, but it would be silly for him not to be picked for that series.

Just wish the selectors would cop on and stick him at six where he would be less exposed than number three.
