Another 50 for Vijay. This is a great run of form and he's done well to average 45.x in very tough conditions in 2014, hope he cashes in hard at home as he deserves to.

Yeah well played from India in that session.

I thought we bowled quite though. Thanks Haddin for rewarding Hazlewood.

Yeah Haddin's drop aside I think Australia's been good in the field. Been very disciplined bowling, pretty sure we'll get reward for it tomorrow if it continues in such a fashion. Good knock from Vijay as well, been looking the goods this series.

Vijay continuing to deliver, but this innings is huge for Pujara. He has to capitalize and make it a big one... not looked convincing at all, but he's out there atleast, and he's been given a life. He's had a bit of **** luck this series, but if he doesn't take this chance, he'll lose a lot of confidence.

Man can't believe Ryan Harris ended up with 70 odd.. India really can't finish a decent bowling effort can they.

That's what I said. He's been scratchy and nervous, but he's had some luck and survived, so this is his chance to get back in form.

I think, apart from the couple of unlucky dismissals, Pujara's also regularly come in at really awkward times. It's usually 15-20 overs to stumps when he comes in after a long day in the field. He survives till stumps and has to start all over the next day. Not ideal for someone already in bad form.

Pujara has been pretty average and disappointing over the last 1-1.5 yr. Its just that there are others in the team who are not performing so Pujara's mediocre form isn't being talked about much.

Warner to lodge a protest with ca about the state of the practice wickets and the fact he couldn't get a bogan burger at lunch. Threatens to head to Sydney for New Year's.

He's had one amazing 2-match Test series abroad, in South Africa, but has been poor otherwise, and this year has been rather dreadful. This isn't someone with poor technique or someone who made the Test XI from the IPL, but one of the finest graduates (alongside Badrinath, Rahane, Dhawan, and even Rohit) from the Ranji Trophy.

Tough luck expecting them to finish off a tail-end with a lot of sting in it after bowling 30 overs each. Too many overs per bowler, with too little support from the batsmen. Rohit Sharma, batting at six, did not bowl a single over. Ryan Harris isn't poor with the bat.

You do know he isn't in the side for this game, right?

I guess I must be sleeping really late these days. Rohit would actually be useful in this XI if picked. Can't imagine Rahul changing this team's fortunes with the bat in his first match. Bloke can't bowl at all, which makes it difficult for the XI.
