The scorecards look like they're building for a repeat of the 350 plays 350 season we had the other summer.

Worker isn't a bad shout for an opener who can bowl some spare parts spin if you must have one just quietly.
As Heef would put it, Worker is a spud.

Don't celebrate too soon, Elliott's current form is a bit too good and Auckland's attack is almost as bad as Wellingtons.

Nice of Guppy to get out to give Munro a chance at accelerating from a platform to make a late shout for the WC squad.
Nah MitchM has heard haters like Kippax are giving him snark on CW again. He'll take five.

Glad Taylor could give Wellington a bit of impetus at the top.

EDIT: I take that back. The scorecard was telling fibs and they've changed it to Pollard being the opener getting out for a duck.

God I feel for Elliott here. Ideally he wanted to show the selectors what he could do from a platform on a good batting wicket. Instead hes going to have rebuild the shambles that is Wellington so we don't lose by 300.

ND need to pick a proper bowling attack. Aldridge, Verma and Boult are nuffies in one day cricket.

Elliott contriving to put Wellington into the best position of all the chasing teams.

May be a dark horse for the squad after all.

Hamilton about four years ago legitimately had six bowlers capable of 130KM plus with four of those guys capable of breaching 140kmh.

Playing against the Old Boys at times got ridiculous when you had four guys, lead by Mathieson and Verma who were all capable of touching 140.

In Auckland, the pace isn't the same, Hamilton had Senior A bowlers who bowl quicker than most Prems in Auckland.
I know I'm a homer but at one stage Howick Pak had Andy McKay (who touched close to 150km in his younger wilder days) Kerry Walmsley, Mitch, Millsy and Greg Morgan who all operated in the 130s and above in some cases. Batting at training was tougher than in a game, which is probably why we produced the de Boorders, Colins, Mark Craig etc.
