I've been watching Liverpool play since 2000 and they have never been so poor defensively...if anyone can enlighten me about the pre 2000 era that would be helpful.

Yeah loads of fun. Arsenal were really poor. Reminded me of 2012/13 Liverpool, domination punctuated with a handful of horrible, horrible mistakes.

Doesn't bode well for Liverpool that they can't out away a team that plays that badly. Doesn't bode well for Arsenal if they can't play any better than that against a team like Liverpool.

Disagree that it was a good game on the whole though. Thought the quality was v low throughout. So scrappy, minimal action, no fluidity.

Nah your talking as an arse fan, in the end there was plenty off luidity from Liverpool, which would have made it hilarious if Arsenal had won.

For a neutral it was stupid fun.

If we had anyone that could finish it would have been similar to last season's shellacking. Disappointed with the result, happy the performances are getting much better.

I dunno. I thought the first half in particular was really turgid. I don't recall the second being much better, but I was distracted for much of it by Sledger Snr going on about how he thought Michael Portillo and David Mellor were "disgusting".
