**Official** Pakistan v New Zealand in the UAE 2014

Agreed. Pakistan more often than not should beat Zimbabwe and Ireland, but would you want to have money on it?

I know I will have my money on Zim and Ireland if the bookies give me nice prices. 5/1 probably.
With that kind of odds i would definitely bet on Ireland. Zimbabwe perhaps not

Deserves that 5fer.

Great game, great series, great tour.

With a background of tragedy, there's been some incredible cricket played between two evenly matched teams.

Zimbabwe have got rid of their mentalist coach though which is a big plus for them though. Depressingly for Pakistan, I'l probably also be looking to see what odds the UAE are against Pakistan as well.

1-1 in tests; 1-1 in T20 and 2-2 in ODIs prior to this one....it had to come down to the last ODI to separate the two teams in this tour.

Successful tour for NZ overall, must be said. Impressed with their ability to adapt quickly. Too professional and organised for Pakistan in the end, even whilst rotating players. As smaslishah said; Pakistan are living in the 90s. Someone's obviously told them to repeat the winning tactics of '92; keeping wickets in hand with a strong middle/lower order. Problem for them is the good sides go right the way through.

Amazing run for Kane and Ross. Last 10 ODIs vs Ind and Pak:

Kane 707 runs avge 78, SR 87, 1 x 100 7 x 50
Ross 595 runs avge 85, SR 86, 3 x 100 3 x 50

Yes, great to see those guys leading the way. A colleague asked me about a TAB bet for Kane to top score and NZ to win. I suggested he would probably be too tired to top score again and didn't think NZ would win. Luckily he ignored my advice :)

According to cricinfo it looks like Milne was hitting 150 consistently. Really hard to leave out that sort of pace from WC squad and Henry's performances should make him an automatic pick.

Just watched the highlights and in particular Williamson bowl and his action looked identical to pre-testing for quite a few off his balls, can see him getting called again.

Hopefully NZ go up another 0.00012 points on the ICC rankings, I swear that loss the Bangladesh a year or so back lost us 3 times the number of points we gained from beating SA, England, Pakistan away.

He has quite a different approach to the wicket but his quicker ball still looks kinda dodgy.

What seamers would you guys have the World Cup side now? Henry surely has to be included. I'd probably go with henry, southee for sure and third a really hard decision between McClenaghan, Milne and Mills. I don't think Boult is a good limited overs bowler to be honest.

At this stage;

Southee
Henry
Milne
Mills

McClenaghan is currently ahead for the 5th spot, but hasn't done himself any favours on this tour & will have Boult nipping at his heels in the SL ODIs.

Boult didn't do to bad in one of the SA ODI's if I remember correctly, I certainly won't be writing him off but as it stands I would play Southee, Henry and Mills.
