***Official*** India in Australia 2014-5

Cricinfo reckons Rogers dismissal was soft. I think if you're good enough to bowl a ball fast, bouncy and accurate enough to cramp a batsman on his hip you deserve the wicket. Besides Yadav's field suggests he was bowling for that type of dismissal.

Ok conspiracy theory time. Does Dhoni have a say on team selection? Bcos the non selection fo Yadav and the preference of rookie Karn over Ashwin in Adelaide looks like he may have been giving stand in captain Kohli a dud hand. Anyway probably not.

Haze yee ha!

Smarsh h'yup... Reckon Yadav only needs to get some bounce outside off and he nicks off.

India just in front atm. Needing another Clarke like innings from Smitty.

I do in general agree with the thought that Watto's place should be questioned but today's dismissal probably isn't the right one to beat him over the head with.

Burns, Ferg or Voges surely? Of the three, Burns the most likely I'd have thought against this attack but it's all much of a muchness as they're all in form. Will obviously keep Watto in clover because none of them bowl particularly well.

Regardless of Australia's position in this match everything feels right with the world.

Haze 5fer
The Peoples Captain scoring runs
Starc no flukey wickets
Watson failing again
Shaun Marsh failing

A Joe Burns call up would just about complete things IMO.

Watson's starts simply not enough: Slater | cricket.com.au

See, here's the issue with Watson. People still write about him like he's a young player on the way up, 50 Tests and he's 'still learning', etc. Christ, he might only have a couple of years left as it is! It's part of what's holding back the Aussie selectors from making a decision about who should bat at 3. His bowling is the thing keeping him in the side.

watson is a genuine allrounder at #6 or bust imo. maybe a bit of leeway on the bowling but at the risk of pointing out the obvious, hasn't been a #3 for a while now.

i'd rather give that spot to the younger mmarsh who has way more potential

i also have more confidence in mmarsh to score tough runs when needed, i.e this innings

Yeah this. For all the "I love opening/ number three/ just give me a go" ****, I've always thought had Watson not been injured in 06/07 and played as a hard hitting all rounder in that side coming in behind that top order, he'd have been a fantastic all rounder who basically cemented six and just had a licence every time he batted.

Just been watching Shaun Tait thru the eyes of Kevin Pietersen's helmet cam on Big Bash - **** me dead
That sort of ****, or going and watching these blokes practice before an international, gives you an idea how hard what they do really is.
