I think if Howard can cut the bottom off and bring it in tomorrow they surely can't stop it? I'm assuming they haven't confiscated it or anything?

Presume this will be a problem with the other grounds too then?
Nah, doubt it.......just GABBA fun police at work, ****s are well know for this **** (remember Billy and his trumpet?)

It's absolutely BS, when England are over here there'd be thousands of Barmy Army flags in the crowd, the BA are a privately owned business..........so how the **** is that not considered advertising?

I reckon we set Burgey loose on em..........

We'll see what howardj has to say if he pops in later.......see if covering/cutting out the logo will make any difference.

Perhaps worth just putting black tape over the logo so we can remove it for other grounds?

I was too disappointed and deflated to log in today after the ban

Here's proof I was there with it

As you will have noted on the TV, there were no banners anywhere

The Gabba and CA are so officious and over-bearing

An online cricket community wants to express itself regarding losing Hughes and they won't allow it? Terrible from the authorities.

Poor play to the Gabba powers that be if they wouldn't even give you the option of covering the advertising. Deserves some bad press.

Nice email to a couple of news outlets telling the story of how a support banner was banned (paid for by fans from all over the world, not a company advertising ffs), should cause enough of a storm to make a few news websites, from there we can send it viral.

After yesterday, I haven't brought the banner with me today

Cutting off the advertising wont make a difference here where I am sitting

Besides, I think that MCG and SCG will likely allow the banner in its current form as they are more permissive

Anyway if any other Brisbane person wants to try their luck over the next few days, let me know

Let's get this out there on twitter
How would one go about doing that..........in a big way I mean? I'm not sure if I post on my twitter account the 30 odd followers I've got would make much of a difference LOL.

The GABBA has a Facebook book page but are not on twitter (I;m not on Facebook)

How do you think MCG and SCG would be more accommodating if it's a Cricket Australia policy to ban any kind of banners they think are advertisements. Maybe James can email Cricket Australia and obtain permission to display.

Even Yesterday I saw a banner of Swami Army.. So I'm not 100% sure what the big fuss is here..
