Incredibad from Ishant.

Oh well. Only good to take from this Test is Kohli and Vijay with the bat, Ishant with the ball. Rahane and Pujara did ok.

Credit the Aussie selectors - after his 3 for 500 or whatever in the UAE, a few selection committees of recent vintage would have dropped Lyon like a shot. Nice to see him get some reward for a great few days work. Didn't look too likely when he had 1-100...

If we had Binny I'd advocate him over Jadeja. But given the stocks we have I feel we might as well. We need 5 bowlers without weaking the tail to much - Ishant + 2 quicks + Jadeja at 8 + Ashwin/MSD at 6/7 seems ok.

If Rahane doesn't want to open then drop Rohit. Dhawan's pretty much a walking wicket at the top of the order tho.

I said this in the morning that even if India are only 2 down at tea, Aussies can still win it and unfortunately thats what has happened. Ashwin and Bhuvi were missed in the lower order.

Agreed, Ashwin would have been massive in this chase at least, Karn is a toilet with the bat, number 11 with pretty much everyone else. To be fair with India, I can't remember the last spinner they picked that was so comically inept with the bat.

Those who wanted Saha for Dhoni for so long, well done, his wicket was a disgrace, the rest at least got some runs before got out or got stinkers. Rohit doesn't count as he was always going to fail.
