The Tiger King
I actually looked in the averages column and found Ishant's average to have come below 37 (to 36.22). I checked again and saw that I was wrong. I was looking at Watson's batting average

Watson doesn't really do downhill skiing tons tbf. I mean, he doesn't really do tons at all, but IIRC only his gloriously funny ton at Perth last year can be described as downhill skiing.
The 176 wasn't exactly high quality either; series gone, Anderson/Broad in their 7th Test of the summer IIRC, Swann getting to the point where all knew his elbow was terminal, and Woakes/Kerrigan on debut. Not downhill skiing, per se, but hardly runs under big pressure.

He doesn't do tons full stop.

But his ton against Pakistan was a second innings downhill skiier too.

Well, Aswin was probably left out because his away record isn't great and he toured here last time and was better with the bat than the ball. This bloke they've picked hasn't done a great deal but I really don't know why people think Ashwin would have got a lot of wickets. He most likely wouldn't have, based on his own performances and the record of visiting spinners.

And if you're picking your frontline spinner because you hope he will get runs at eight, you're doing it wrong.

Wrong being the way Australia does things when it tours the subcontinent.

The normal awards that everyone else has
Sean Abbott has taken 6/9 in the Shield game. Would be epic if he played test cricket further down the track.

I'm really pleased to see him bowling, I didn't know if he would be able to tbh.
