yeah, I meant potentially its a good line up on Australian pitches. The pace and bounce are not disconcerting for the indian batsmen, its the swing that does them in. There shouldn't be too much of that down under so I expect a good showing. The bowling though has looked remarkably toothless though and i wonder how it will fare in the coming matches.

Its too early to judge the Indian bowling. Not many touring teams in recent past have succeeded in Adelaide, so performance from Indian bowlers in first innings isn't enough to certify them as poor. I would wait to see how well they perform in Brisbane before judging them in this tour.

In my opinion the 4 bowler strategy is not really a great one for India.The seamers gets tired easily and we don't want them to get injured with long spells especially with the World Cup approaching.But dropping a batsman with all of them in good form isn't that great as well.In my opinion we have three choices.1) Rely on Jadeja/Ashwin's batting ability
2)Drop a batsman(preferably Rohit) and get in Raina who can offer some quality off breaks or at least give Rohit the ball.
3)Drop under performing Dhawan and get Rahane to open.However I am not that leaned to this because it destroys that order we have been creating in the batting order so far.

4 bowler strategy will work perfectly well when you replace Aaron by Umesh and Karn by Ashwin. (unless Bhuvi gets fit)

At the moment, we have 4 bowlers only 2 of whom are good for heavy workload. Aaron and Karn are both aggressive options, but they weren't born to bowl 25 decent quality overs per day.

Haha ya Dhawan+Raina in Brisbane will be lol-worthy. We'll play with 3.5 batsmen capable of scoring then (considering Vijay as half).

Ya the thing is that we can't play Karn and Aaron together with 4 bowler strategy. Ideally you need 3 bowlers capable of heavy workload if you're going with a 4-bowler strategy. (Bhuvi+Shami+Ishant+Karn) would work. (Umesh+Shami+Ishant+Ashwin) will work too, or (Shami+Ishant+Aaron+Ashwin).

Marsh has shown he's perfectly capable of performing the "do nothing" role. I don't see the point of playing two bowlers who perform that role.

Drop Siddle, play Hazlewood.
