***Official*** India in Australia 2014-5

Not really. Both teams have inexperienced batting lineups. And both of those batting lineups have grown up on a diet of T20 and OD cricket, and so at this stage lack the technique, temperament and experience to weather unfamiliar conditions. Finally, India's got **** pacers, and Australia's got **** spinners.
But it's been happening for years. When India last toured here they had Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar; and Australia has lost in India for decades aside from 2004 (not that that really counts because having an attack of three or four spinners is effeminate and not really cricket).

Agree. He's had a very good last 12 months. He's been the only bloke so far who's looked a test match bowler.
So 7 years after bowling that spell, he's finally doing something.

It all seemed to start when he took 6-fer at the Basin, so I'm claiming it was my fault that he's now taking some poles.

Don't worry, I saw his 7-fer at Lords. We're all in this together.

Yeah, but it wasn't exactly vintage Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar was it? Tendulkar had been on the slide since the 2011 World Cup, and Dravid and Laxman both called it a day after that series. As for Australia, while they lost in 2001, they were extremely competitive in that series, and even in 2008 they were able to tough it out and fight for draws. Nowadays, if either of these two sides falls behind, that's it.

He's not Ian Chappell though so there's that in his favour.
Mmm..I'd prefer Chappell. At least he offers something cantankerous and mildly interesting/controversial, whereas Hussey gives me 'wow this is like a T20' or 'back in your day Tub you just left well in the first 12 balls' or 'I used to get nervous before I batted'. Give me a spell.

I can't think of another job in the world that rewards and perseveres with poor performance like TV commentary does. I honestly can't.

Is there anyone better at it though? Sure, Hussey isn't great, but ffs none of the Channel 9 commentators are any good these days.

It's also one of the only jobs where you can get a go at the biggest/highest level without any past experience or need to prove your ability.

The thing I love about Warner is not that he can just carve boundaries. I just love how he can time simple punches and get 2 or 3 runs for a shot that isn't ultra-aggressive.

And a beautiful pull. This guy is awesome.
