Honestly feel kind of nervous about the game right now. Somehow I feel like the game has betrayed us. There are questions in my head like, will Southee bowl a bouncer? Is that okay? Deep down I'm wishing it carries on like it always has, but at the moment it makes me a little sick in the stomach to think about it.

Yea I was thinking the same. They've alreadu hit Shehzad on the head and injured him; are the NZ quicks going to be able to bowl quick and short for the remainder of this Test? What about the Pak quicks?

Also, I hear from my friends in Dubai that they are all pretty rattled by Hughes' passing. Will be interesting to see what the mood will be like at the ground.

I really wonder if Pakistan and NZ have actually talked about it. It's the first proper game to be played since it happened.

Has Southee gone up to Hafeez to say "I'm going to bowl a bouncer first ball" or something similar? I suspect there will be a lot of us watching on grimly just waiting for it to happen.

I'm really not sure who it'll affect more, bowlers or batsmen? I mean, the bowler obviously has a lot longer to think about whether he'll bowl a bouncer but then he also has longer to rationalise it and accept that it was a freakish accident. A batsman sees it coming for his head and has a split second to play his shot. If, in that second, he thinks about what happened at the SCG on Tuesday he'll struggle to play it properly. Reckon there could be a lot of batsmen who have a mental block as a result of this.

I wonder how I'm gonna react when I face my first short nut tomorrow.
