**Official** Pakistan v New Zealand in the UAE 2014

Days of Grace

International Captain
One of the commentators quite rightly pointed out that by playing three spinners, each spinner might not get enough overs in their spell to really settle down and get into a rhythm. Vettori only bowling 3 overs is very strange. Almost as if McHesson have said, "we've selected you as a no.6, therefore we are only going to give you the bare minimum of overs", even though Vettori is by far the best spinner out there.

Anything that is successful is immune from criticism and must be loved by all. Got it coach
Because one select incident of Danny Morrison finding success should be considered "Anything that is successful" - you guys troll yourselves these days, I don't even need to.

Nah, my take is that they're saving him for the third innings when conditions suit most, it's a flawed tactic considering Pakistan may not need the third innings but it would explain why he's only bowled 3 out of 47.3 overs.

Well when you transform a "Danny Morrison worked out a way to be successful and is well loved by the Indian fan" into a "Well that's short-termism and anti-intellecutalism" and any other manner of elitist insult, tall poppy syndrome seems an apt fit.
mate, it was just a bit of fun. I don't care for elitism or anti-intellectualism, it's just a term that very succinctly and somewhat humurously describes a certain type of comment. I don't begrudge anyone their success - so long as I'm not expected to bow down to them for it of course.

Just a funny little NZ-politics in joke really. Gotta be able to have a laugh at ourselves.

Man, it would be really nice to have a home track bully like Hafeez or Jadeja.

Who would've been our closest - Daryl Tuffey?
