I think it is gun. Second best after mine
Objectively, I think we are about equal in the bowling department.

Lillee ~= Trueman
Roberts > Statham
Kapil ~= Fazal
Grimmett < O'Reilly
Mankad ~= Rhodes

Hazare doesn't matter.

Grimmett < O'Reilly > Benaud

Bowling speaks for itself really, they should give the batsmen plenty of time to bat, which they all like doing.

So let's give some time for howe_zat to pick his 3 players. We can start the poll over the weekend. In the meantime, Can everyone post their XIs in batting order so I can easily copy paste for the poll?

I got Kapil for less than half the cost. I considered Miller even after that - but (Miller+any other available bowler for zero cost) was less lucrative than (Lillee + Wilfred/Mankad) at that stage.

Warne not being picked means that I have the best classical leg-spinner (sorry Clarrie and Richie) to complement a pace attack that is about as good as any if you think about it. The batting begins with two openers that would rather die than give their wicket away (Woodfull almost quite literally) and the middle order is pure silk all the way down to Alan Davidson. With 5 Test match captains it also has the IQ of Albert Einstein. In short, a team for the connoisseurs that happens to be perfectly balanced right down to the microgram.

Seriously though, why weren't Headley and Chappell picked as both were relative bargains? Headley could have been combined with Miller, and Chappell with McGrath, for example.

I was going to go with Chappell but Waqar and Border was the better deal, just got lucky that nobody picked Border that round.

Howe has been on-line several times during the last couple of days and hasn't bothered to pick his remaining players. In my experience it's rarely a good idea to pamper to a 'passive-aggressive'. So if you want to post your voting thread ankitj then go ahead when you want to because it's your show not Howe's.

Superb job by-the-way!

CW50 Combos: Interesting to see how drafters used their budgets to grab elite players in the cw50 list. Some picked as many as four players, some were content with just one.
