Qatar is the dodgiest country in the world and FIFA have supported them - says it all really

Don't think anyone seriously expected anything else, did they?

Corruption and whitewashes of the same are pretty much what FIFA does; football administration very much a sideline for them.

Rosler gets the arse

From the BBC.

Pothas to comment. Although, IIRC, he didn't begrudge him leaving the Bees for (what looked like) a step up.

Always liked Uwe, me. Wigan and Whelan, not so much.

TBF to Whelan, he's come out and explained the decison, said nice things about Uwe, and wished him all the best. I rather like Whelan in that he's an open chairman, who doesn't lurk in the shadows and hides from the fans.

Uwe - blue ****e naturally :)

He rather soured things with the way he and Wigan went after, and eventually got our best player this summer.

Quite a few Bees fans never rated him anyway, thought he was too negative and they have kind of been proved right by the way we have played since. I still think he played a vital role but there is no doubt that Warburton has been the key figure, he found most of the players that came during the Uwe era anyway. Always liked him though, hope he get another job.

Not that far off a testimonial at United now. :p

Waste of talent as he never had the drive. Though his lack of athletic ability and Body didn't help that much either.

Yeah it's a shame, because the talent was definitely there. I think he never mentally recovered from his **** CL final appearance.

Despite his potential his lack of drive and ball skills make it hard to believe he is Brazilian. Should have been dumped ages ago.

Blind out for possibly 4 to 6 weeks to end of season now it seems with ligament damage.

Carrick got injured with England too and withdrew while De Gea picked up some finger injury with Spain.

This Injury situation this season for United is bizarre.
