Yeah, I'm loving watching him - great accuracy, good control of his flight and he's mixing up his variations really well - helps him that he had 250 odd first class wickets before playing a single test.

Yasir's control is a pretty damn good. For a young leggie to be even decently accurate is a great sign.

He's not really young though - he's 28 with over 290 first class wickets. That's probably why he's got the control, he was left to earn his way into the side, rather than being like Sodhi and being given one due to no other option.

Yeah, good point. Thought he was around 25-26.
Still, though, lots of spinners get away with being erratic in FC cricket where lots of batsmen arent good enough to wait for the loose delivery and put it away ruthlessly. These guys are found out brutally when they're exposed to test cricket, often even if they are selected quite late.

We'd do better than your current competition imo as we have the spinners to trouble Pakistan..also our pacers know how to bowl in those conditions too.

And Pak has pretty good players of spin like Younis, Shafiq and Misbah.
