***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2014/15

No Ddeviation in the air or off the pitch... he'll always trouble NZ domestic players through pace alone but he's too plain to be a consistent bowler at test level. He's not fast enough to be like Johnson and he's not good enough to be an imitation of Steyn.

yeah that's not what i hoped for from someone who handled the australians and south africans very well.

i choose to interpret that as milne showing how awesome he is and that he should be starting against Sri Lanka.

hey yeah let's judge a guy's ability to move the ball based on four overs on a seddon park hole.

and let's also forget he's shown both the inswinger (for years) and the outswinger.

if he was in pink you'd be jerking off furiously.

Milne was getting it to swing away dramatically during last week's games. I think the gun-barrel trajectory was just a consequence of him bowling with a slightly older ball in warmer, dryer conditions. He's definitely fast enough to be like Johnson (we've seen him clock 153 in ODI's) though it's less clear whether he has the stamina and accuracy to play that kind of role.

Yeah he's also been nerfed by ND's switch back to Waikari clay there, and he still troubled them with bounce.

If only the pink boys had Milne again next week in Auckland. They'll find a return of Hamish Bennett difficult enough.

Leaving out that not a single CD bowler got any movement.

How can he possibly argue that it wasn't out? He hit the ball in the air, it was caught before it hit the ground. End of story, piss off Anton.

If you've ever heard Boycott on TMS describe Joe Roots success at 5 compared to his struggles when opening (as he has done numerous times ), then I reckon the same pretty much will apply to Brownlie.

But NZ have lower expectations of their openers than England so still worth a crack for Brownlie.
