Boyce has bowled well without reward and apart from three terrible deliveries Dougeh has bowled pretty well tonight. Our fielding/catching has been really disgusting though.

**** off Warnie

Just leave him alone

Cummins may well turn out to be one of the great test cricketers but how anyone could advocate his selection for Brisbane is beyond me

South Africa to get a much deserved win. Very clinical in their batting, bowling and fielding performances tonight.

That was the plan before the season iirc. I really think Howard wouldn't allow a test return. Particularly when it's a 4 test summer and Haze etc could be tried

Have heard that some in NSW have said that Cummins may not even play Shield cricket this year?
Assuming Australia has no NSW quicks and NSW only played 3 quicks would you give Cummins a game with Hazlewood, Bollinger, Starc, Sandhu and irrelavant option Copeland all fit? Tough decision, NSW would just play the extra quick though Inguess.

On to last nights game and its amazing how unco we at catching these days. I should have said before the match but Nathan Reardon has never looked like an International prospect.

Bollinger has indicated that he trying to get back into the Australian Test team this summer. Consequently I don't think that he and Reardon would be best mates at the minute.

(Incidently, Dougie's 50 Test wickets have cost him only 26 runs each (SR = 48). Why he was dropped by the Australian selectors remains a mystery to me. IMO he has been Australia's best left-arm quick for many years now. Overall, his consistency makes him a better bowler than even Johnson whose Test career resembles a yo-yo. Unfortunately at 33 years Bollinger will remain a wasted talent and a what-could-have-been)

tbf the new improved model Johnson is better than Dougeh, but Dougeh copped the absolute rough end of the pineapple. Whatever failings he may have he never would have delivered as many innings of utter innocuous offerings as P Siddy.

A big problem was that Dougeh had an injury affected 2011-12 season, meaning he couldn't do a Hilf and come back quickly.
