Yeah I've been a fan since the first time I saw him. I don't think he's quite Test standard yet as he can be rooted to the crease early in his innings (footwork is fine after a start though) and he struggles to rotate the strike against good bowling, but I've always felt he was better than Doolan and he's certainly one of the best batsmen not currently in the side.

Nice and compact

IMO< it's a shame that it's a WC year as guys like Smith, Burns, MMarsh, say Khawaja, etc should be getting experience in our ODI middle order in the same way as we blooded Martyn

I understand because of Husseys age he will not play every game,its the selectors call.When White comes back gather Huss will go out of the side,He will be mentoring the firsts and 2nds batsmen.

I thought it was a pretty standard leg-side stumping of a quick, tbh. Obviously quality because of the type of dismissal it was, but hardly the greatest I've ever seen.

I thought the previous deck at Adelaide oval was a highway, this one's just a runway though. Amazed we got a result - it's quite possibly the most dull road I've ever seen. Gonna be draw central this season.

Really don't like Zampa. Yeah he took 4fa but just bowls with such little potency. Really hope we punt him out of the side and play Botha as the 4th bowler & another batsman or just play another seamer.

Is McDonald going to try his hand bowling again this season, or has the fact that he gets injured every time he sends down a couple of deliveries finally put him off the idea? It would help the balance of the side so much if he could bowl, even if was just ten overs per day.

Doubt it. It'd be great if he did but I just can't see it happening, especially as they seem pretty set on the Botha as the 5th bowler idea.

Yeah this. SA declaring behind, hosing the oppo for ****-all then bashing their way to a last day win never happens. It's so......positive.
