*Official* Pakistan v Australia in UAE 2014

really, really impressive win.

I don't think Australia are as terrible at playing spin as they were in India. I just think they were outbatted and outbowled, the the surge in confidence for Pakistan gave them what they needed to really dominate.
The thing that grated with our batting was the number of batsmen who threw away starts in both Tests. That's not "can't play spin", that's just dumb, ****ty batting.

Let's not mention the bowling.

Pakistan, though, man. The perfect series, really.

Oz have big problems in their camp and the first test selection is a lottery

Based on this showing, Rogers, Maxwell, Haddin, Siddle and Lyon should be staring down the gun-barrel plus Clarke must be under pressure as a batsman (have a look at his stats for the last few years - mediocrity with one massive spike)

Anyone can be beaten but this was truly awful

How does Starc miss out on being under the gun? What's the use of a fast bowler who can't take a wicket until after the 80th over?

Buck should be fine if for no other reason than there are bigger problems to look at first.

Stupid panic selections have just caused more problems yet again. Stick your x-factor **** up your arse Boof and Marsh. Just pick the XI guys who have been the most consistent fc performers for the last couple of years. They might not win, but I bet they don't go as bad as that steaming pile of ****.

Starc bowled reasonably well and still has potential but is not guaranteed selection obviously

I was referring to guys whose careers are on the line after this shambles

Congrats to Pakistan on one of their biggest victories Less 'privileged' nations need care and nurturing for enriching our sport.

I'd be very surprised if guys like Maxwell, Lyon and even Siddle's careers are on the line. They might not be there at the Gabba but that is very different to being the end of their careers.

Haddin will be there if fit. Right or wrong I don't think they are ready to shove him under the bus yet. And I think Buck is the same. They want a few old heads around for a bit longer yet.

I reckon Starc and Maxwell will be the only two missing come Brisbane to make way for Watson and Rhino. But continued poor form from those you've named (and Marsh not going on with his reasonable start) will see further changes during the summer.

One of the more pitiful non-Indian attempts at batting for a draw on a flat pitch in recent times.

Might be wrong but reckon Rogers, Siddle and Haddin are in deep **** as they are all middle aged - elderly in cricketing terms

Rogers - Watto is a likely starter and if they don't pick Hughes now well why bother continuing with the charade

Siddle - has done nothing since being dropped in SA and there are a number of young quicks returning from injury and/or performing

Haddin has had a horrible winter and is injured plus virtually every keeper in Oz seems to be performing

A lot depends on whether the selectors want to rip it up and start again before an ashes series.

Surprised to hear some of you ripping it up Rad........don't get me wrong, I can't stand the freckly faced fugly. But man, he was your second best player in the Ashes.......that was only 2 series ago fellas.

I think the funniest thing about this whole series is that Australia practised for the tour by hiring Murali to prepare themselves against Ajmal's ripping offies and doosras. They then go and collapse against an SLA who doesn't turn it at all

And it relly coudln't have gone any better for Pakistan. Literally perfect. Every single batsman and bowler did a good job. Even Hafeez chipped in. Incredible.

I actually agree with most of this, but I don't think the selectors do. They've ****ed Hughes around for years, why stop now? Siddle has been bog ordinary most of his career, a steady third seam option at best usually, but still they love to pick him, and will probably continue to do so. Hadds is definitely in trouble if his injury keeps him out of the 1st test and say a Nevill does a good job in his stead, but the selectors will probably pick Wade so that he's an automatic selection once fit.
