No I mean who replaces him?

We are having our problems with replacing Kallis now after squeezing all the life out of his career, now there is a big hole in our ODI team.

And Kallis is still going to be theoretically easier to replace than replacing a world class bowler with a bunch of consistently injured bowlers.(sicknotes)
Kallis is arguably the greatest player in history so replacing Harris will be a breeze in comparison

FWIW Patto's injury problems are more concerning than what is imagined.

My spies have told me that they're trying to remodel his action, and he apparently isn't confident in how things are going.

No I mean in recent years we have relied on him less than before say 2010... It is tough replacing an allrounder like that, but in the natural progression of things other players came through to accept responsibility for some of the roles Kallis has to play for basically ten years when we barely had 50+ averaging batsman. or 30- average bowlers.(Test cricket... Losing Kallis is a massive blow to our ODI team)

Jerking Harris out of the team has a cascading effect now, and the guys Australia need to replace him with can barely play 3 test matches in a row.

hazlewood and sayers both better bowlers than siddle, cummins to once he gets fit
i hardly ever get to see these aussie domestic blokes so is this like my predictions wheeler, small and milne will usurp wagner and those two ND ****s or is this something realistic like henry > wagner?

there might not be many who agree with me about Sayers but Haze is definitely close to replacing siddle for the Indian tests

Watson took 11 wickets at 10.6 in 2 tests last time we played pakistan. He gets a lot of reverse. Overall is ~18 average.

On how much Harris matters

Since clarke became captain (2011) Australia has won 12 lost 4 drawn 3 with Harris. Without him they have won 7 lost 9 drawn 4. They take ~5 runs more without him to get a wicket.

Away it is even worse
With
5w 4L 2D
Without
1w 6L 3d

Same 5 run gap.

2nd Test: South Africa v Australia at Johannesburg, Nov 17-21, 2011 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo is the one match

Sayers is probably closer to the former. Hazlewood/Cummins lean towards the latter.

Australia has lots of talent but stage of development is a concern e.g. Marsh and Maxwell

So Aus should forfeit when Harris and Watson is not available?

It was. He has only played them at home / in england.
So I'm not sure how much impact he'd have in the UAE :p

TBF though, he bowled quite well in Sri Lanka IIRC last time we toured there, and wasn't too bad against India.

Sad but probably true

Everyone else is on the comeback trail but not a word about him
