Yeah true. The thing is though Maxwell is a big part of our T20 and ODI teams and Marsh is well in the mix there too, so they aren't going to completely be discarded. Interesting day for the Marsh's - Shaun out for a duck in the Shield and Mitch probably feeling as though he belongs at Test level.

Yes, it's always amusing when comments are made about how flat a wicket is, basically as an excuse to explain toothless bowling, only then to have their own batting collapse on the same flat deck.Is this the same pitch Pak played on?
Both the spinners and pacers have done well, so Aus don't just have a problem with Spin but also Pace bowling. However from the comments, it seems like they threw their wickets away so it's more of a batting problem.
Scoreboard pressure's definitely a real thing, though.

Sure but it means he need to be in the top 5 batsman in the country. It doesn't stop his selection but it makes it harder.
