too many missing players in the end for the bl00s. Maddinson after smashing it around for fun in the pre-season finding runs are actually a bit harder to come by in the real deal the biggest disappointment.

It was a masterclass in how to play yourself out of form, really. Started the competition seeing it like a beach ball, kept throwing away starts and then ended up succumbing under the pressure of not having scored many runs by the back end.

Bloos reporting that Larkin, Jackson, Sommerville and Conway are all in the squad to take on the Vics, since 14 players are unavailable.

Looks to me like:

1. Nev *+
2. Carters
3. Henry
4. Patterson
5. Larkin
6. Rohrer
7. Jackson
8. Conway/Sommerville
9. Sandhu
10. Lalor
11. Hazlewood


14 players out yet can still field Carters, Nev and Hazlewood. What a State.

That wouldn't be Will Somerville who used to play for Otago would it? I saw he was in the NSW 2nds earlier in the season.

Yeah that looks like him. Was years ago that I played against him but that looks right. Quite cool to see he's done well over there, he gotta kinda squeezed out of the frame down here with the emergence of Nick Beard.

Not sure what's surprised me more; seeing Ryan Le Loux in the Bulls lineup for the first time in 8 years or that he only ever bowled one over in Shield cricket way back then.
