Let's call it the uselessness of the SA Redbacks and be done with it
That could certainly have something to it, as his average with NSW isn't too far out from his test average at about 37. His average with SA though is 53.25.

Well he's always struck me as a pressure bowler, and the SA attack doesn't lend itself to building pressure when it's generally Sayers + Botha + Lyon + two young/inconsistent/expensive quicks. Not to mention Adelaide being a road, and the batting line-up rarely putting big scores on the board.

that xavier doherty was picked ahead of SoK, not once but twice, will forever be a stain on the cricketing history of this great nation

SOK has done the hard yards in FC cricket and forced his way in - Doherty did next to nothing in long form cricket to get a place

Can't trust you Australians anymore. You guys said Rogers would be a disaster but he actually did ok. Were all super against Johnson being picked but look at what he did. Thought Haddin was **** but he **** in all your faces.

SoK will probably do decently and you'll all be proven wrong yet again.

I don't think too many people predicted disaster for Rogers actually; just Murphy really. The only thing I had against the selection was the fact that there were way too many specialist openers in the squad IIRC.

I'm not particularly optimistic about O'Keefe but he absolutely deserves his selection and if Australia are to play a second specialist spinner it should definitely be him at this point (and should have been at various other points). He doesn't look much but neither do any of the other domestic spinners right now and, unlike them, he's actually proven himself a good Shield bowler.

I know nothing about O'Keefe, but saying you're wrong now because you were wrong on a couple of occasions before has no logic.

SOK to be leading wicket taker for the series.

Looks like Doolers Doolan just by making it to lunch has put any slight risk of being axed to bed.

iirc the second time 'round SOK's and Doherty's record in the last 2-3 shield seasons were very similar. High 20's for each of them. SOK had that horrible 2011-12 season which more than cancelled out Doherty's poor 2 shield games in the 2012/13 season.

Your just jealous that Siddle buys his bananas elsewhere.
He used to buy them here until we had a fall out regarding the animation rights of Mr banana grabber.

Smith looks in gun shape again.bloke is scarily good.
