I had the same dilemma in the last draft and personally I also prefer Pollock but I went with Greg as his bowling aspect gives a tactical advantage.

True, however extra bowling options can be used to give your main bowlers a rest even if they won't get you wickets. In any case, the more options available the better.

In terms of draft, whenever I am confused between two players who are neck to neck in their primary role, I do tend to look at what else they provide. It's not to say it gives me the right answer always but it's makes the dilemma a bit simpler.

Chappell is also one of the very best slip fielders of All Time. His bowling is a second bonus, but Chappell brings more value and faced much better bowlers.

I wouldn't overplay Chappell's bowling either, but by the same token he did claim more than a few illustrious scalps such as Viv Richards and Rohan Kanhai. Would have got more too if he didn't underbowl himself.

I like the versatility in my batting lineup. The opening combo of Anwar-Sehwag is devastating but unpredictable. Therefore, my no. 3 (Dravid) and no. 4 (Compton) are two solid players of both pace and spin. That provides a lot of solidity after the flashy openers. Flower at no. 5 is a boss against quality spin.

That's one reason I chose Compton ahead of a Pakistani great.
