I think that you're being a bit 'glass half empty'. The only iffy player in that lineup is Amir which is not bad because everyone has an iffy player in their lineup. I've got George Thompson for example.

1. Hutton
2. Rowe
3. Hammond
4. Tendulkar
5. Kallis
6. De Villiers
7.
8. Lindwall
9. Turner
10. Amir
11. O'Reilly
You misunderstand. I want a batsman. The only bat left is a good chance of being Graeme ****ing S***h. I wouldn't vote for it.

A. Hope it's Prince, then the whole thing may not be tainted.

Also, people who assume a keeper you've never heard of is better than AB because he has a lower batting average - re think things. At no point has De Villiers been less than a good keeper.

So, that is all, fellows!

I really apprecaiate you all participating with such enthusiasm and alacrity :)

I hope you guys had a good time on this draft, even if I was remiss at a few places.

Please post your teams, with captain, vice-captain, and keeper assigned, and if possible, do as little or big of a write-up as you would like.

Mucha gracias!

International Vice-Captain
1. Sir Jack Hobbs
2. Gordon Greenidge
3. Misbah ul-Haq

5. Clyde Walcott
6. Warwick Armstrong (c)
7. Adam Gilchrist +
8. Sir Richard Hadlee
9. Frank Foster

I make that 6 ATGs and 5 pretty handy players who would make it into pretty much all the teams in world cricket today.

Seam bowling is a little inexperienced, but still pretty nasty.

Ftr Harsh, why did you consider Pollock a bowler as oppose to an allrounder? Bloke has plenty of runs at a solid average (comparable to Cairns or Haddin, for example). Bit weirded out by the criteria.

I reckon I win in 7/11 players over weeman
If we're going by batting order:

Hobbs > Hutton
Greenidge > Rowe
ul-Haq < Hammond
Cullinan < Tendulkar
Walcott < Kallis
Armstrong > Prince (because he can bowl)
Gilchrist > de Villiers (better keeper)
Hadlee > Lindwall (can bat)
Foster < Turner
Verity > Amir
Reid < O'Reilly

I make that 6 vs. 5 to me.
