A number of problems with this statement

Firstly, SAF himself has claimed that the Glazers never denied him funds for any player so the complaints that the Ronaldo money wasn't reinvested in the squad is irrelevant

Secondly, many EPL teams are "clubs" in name only - they are businesses where the fans are paying customers

Thirdly, it is well known that other parties had the opportunity to buy the business but were unsuccessful for a variety of reasons

However, whether the ultimate owner was a Glazer, Murdoch or supporters group, it was always going to be saddled with debt because that is how these things are funded

IMO, MU supporters owe some level of gratitude to the Glazers as there have been plenty of worse owners than them (e.g. look at Murdoch's history of sports club ownership in Oz)
SAF and his "there's no value in the market" is BS. No way he had funds like this that early in the Glazers ownership. It's only there now for CL qualification.

Can't think of any other clubs that have been subject to a LBO. There's other ways to raise cash without insane debt levels. Plus they only exist so they could buy. They are not spending cash now to be nice. It's to lift the performance of a line item.

While the United defence was just awful, I thought MK took their goals quite well. End result just incredible. Thrashed.

If Ferguson was being denied funds, I'm sure we would have heard about it one way or another. He never struck me as one to be docile.

He would have at least mentioned it in his book (I've not read it so maybe he did but I've not seen it mentioned anywhere)

I wish League One was beckoning down here. Absolute luxury. Not even Louis van Gaal's impersonation of the Village Idiot, on and off the field, is any consolation.

Rumours going around that Arsenal are looking at buying Nikola Zigic. A bloke that managed 7 goals in 33 games in the Championship last year. Be a great buy that one. Is Wenger still playing FM06?

Got a mate who is a Blues fan, says he is the worst laziest player ever. Was only interested in his wages and couldn't give a stuff on the field.

It's almost certainly not a credible rumour. Only the Mirror, the Daily Star and the Metro are running with it from what I can see.

Citeh fans should troll United fans by saying that the derby is irrelevant now, and their real rivalry is with Chelsea.

Trouble will arise when the big brother of Citeh's "owner" cuts off his allowance

Whole world will be laughing then

Even if this does happen, Citeh have a great team, good stadium, Champions League qualification, some other Billionaire will step in. Same with Chelsea, it's just a redundant argument IMHO.

Zigic's agent not credible? Be a bizarre transfer if it happens, and I'd be surprised if it did happen, but be hilarious if it does.

They do obviously, but his agent saying it certainly makes it a more credible rumour than one that is created on a forum, which is where alot of the gossip columns get their rumours. One source is now suggesting he's set for a medical today.
