Still going to be 35 overs left at tea. Bat for 25 of them and have a crack with 8 with the new ball before the close. Should have over 550 on the board then so we shouldn't lose from there.

We should be able to get to 550 in 20 overs, maybe even less to be honest. Day going really well so far, Belly superb.

Yes it all depends on if Buttler fires or not you'd think. Bell will keep getting a run a ball if he's there but doesn't really do much if the other guy bats like Root or Moeen, anything explosive is up to the guy at the other end though. If England are spluttering there's not much point leaving the declaration til later, but runs scored after 550 are still worth having and will enable you a better win % as long as they're scored quickly enough.

Woakes/Jordan/Broad all score quickly naturally though. Especially the latter two. Realistically if two of those three biff 20, Bell should be able to put one enough to get us to 550.

I'd tell them they have 90 balls to score 100 runs. Get on it.

I think his role is to just tie up an end and make an impact if the pitch is offering something but there's really nothing excusing Jadeja's strike rate this series. A wicket every 180 balls, fmd.
