Haha. Seems Howsie swallowed that "he's got a hypermobile elbow" tale like he was a five-year-old.

I think Hutchinson did/does want to play for New Zealand:
'50-50' Kiwi Hutchinson wants to be a Firebird | Stuff.co.nz

Herrick was different; he just filled in because the coach knew him, Wellington had several injuries and he couldn't crack the Victorian side at the time. He didn't move over or anything; just flew over and flew back. It was always going to be a stop gap.
Interesting. I must have missed that at the time. So that gives us:

Cameron Merchant
Stewart Rhodes
Dane Hutchinson.

Thanks for sending us such quality, Brockley. You got Clarrie Grimmett, we got Stewart Rhodes.

I hope it doesn't rattle him and affect his batting confidence. He sounds quite dissapointed with the decision. Crowe had to give up bowling and didn't seem to care or at least kept his thoughts to himself.

He should be stoked. He's been an epic troll with the ball until he got caught. Just worry about scoring a massive pile of runs now and slowly bring the bowling back.

because a lab is better than your pink eyepatch
It's a joke. Where were Williamson and that Sri Lankan lad tested? Where was Narine tested? Wouldn't surprise me if they were using different equipment. It all comes down to your brand. Ajmal and Narine, especially Narine are big time stars. They'll get away with this **** for years.

Luke Ronchi,Aaron Redmond,Tama Canning and Dean Brownlie all Perth boys.
You forgot Hamish Marshall so thats 3 lost to county.
We have over 10 Aussies playing County cricket and some have played for England. That was my main point.
We have 6 sides like you do,but i believe Australia should have at least a 7th or 8th side.

Has Narine been tested? I don't recall if he has, tbh.

Ajmal has. I have concerns over his action because I'm not sure that arm abduction should be legal when bowling with a bent arm, and he uses abduction significantly in his action. But certainly by the lab guidelines he's 100% clean.

You guys still pay your players way better than NZ does.

Our best spinner isn't even playing for us because he can't afford to risk his county contract.

Fair enough 8-).
No i think we can agree the County system is predatory. At least IPL no one been lost to India, yet.
Yes our players are better paid, but national contracts has been reduced from 25 to 18.State contracts have a cap at a million.
I still believe we can cater to more sides with the depth we have.Lol there have been a few Kiwis played for the Canberra Comets over the years and a few poms.

You look at the success of the NZ Warriors ( brand wise ) or the Breakers ( brand and competition ) or the Phoenix ( brand ) in Australian leagues and it makes you sigh, unfortunately cricket administrators just don't get it, it's made sense for years to include an NZ side (or two) into the Australian domestic scene and it would boost both sides of the nation. The Australian's would have a tonne more experience playing in conditions not unlike England and parts of South Africa, the Kiwis would get more time on hard wickets that turn and to be honest, I don't think the level of play would be that far different.

That would be a huge gain to Australian cricket at a huge cost to us. It would be the end of the plunket shield.
