It's too late by the time Broad gets in tbh. Now is the right time, especially if he knocks 20-30 off before the new rock.
Yeah, do a Jadeja. He took the game from us yesterday with his unorthodox innings, someone should do the same for us with Root aiming to be 120* at the end.

Closing stages of the Thrilla in Manilla on ESPN here. Backing Ali not to stand there and meekly fend off a short one tbh.

It wasn't good though. Everyone in the world watching this game knew what Shama was going to do that ball, and Moeen still limply put his gloves up when the bouncer came. It was a good one to be sure, but Moeen shouldn't be happy that he so easily fell into the trap.
Honestly I was expecting the double bluff. 5 short balls to Root, short ball field, last ball before lunch...perfect situation for a double bluff. Moeen would be on the backfoot pre-emptively, and Ishant gets the ball up at a good length angling away, possibly hit top of off/the pads/get the edge.

Seems like Moeen was expecting that too, but Ishant actually bowled short.

England's tail is honestly more of a worry than their top order; and with only 146 runs to go a quickfire 50-60 runs like Bhuvi and Jadeja put on yesterday can really change things.

They've got nothing to lose at this point, more likely to be bowled out defending seeing the rhythm Ishant is in and how good Bhuvi is with the new ball.

If Prior fails early to another short ball is there any chance he will be dropped for the 3rd Test/? Especially considering his performance with the gloves.

There is no justification for picking him without a 2nd innings contribution here.

I know I've said it before but God I hate that Unibet ad with Blofield and Swann. Even if you take away the whole bad taste/match fixing aspect of it all, its just such a pretentious pile of ****. Brutal.

That's a single bluff. Why do people call this a double bluff.

England should drop Prior if he fails, but they won't.

None of the seniors will be dropped. They talk about rotating fast bowlers too; but you can bet on Broad and Anderson playing every Test unless they pull up injured on the morning of the match.

I really wonder if, win or lose, England will bring in Jordan next test and rest one of Plunkett/Stokes. Kerrigan is in the squad too, so I wonder if he will get a game. Ali's been bowling not too badly.

Apologies. Should proof read more before I post.
