It didn't do any harm for the Saffers when Peter Pollock was part of the committee that picked Shaun, although I can see that argument is slightly flawed
If Pollock had been Binny, Cronje would have been spared the bother of having to accept leather jackets from dodgy strangers to lose matches.

This 'having to bowl spinners' is weird to me. Surely if its dangerous to the batsmen if they face fast bowlers, it's dangerous for the fielders regardless of who is bowling....
True, but Dhoni probably figures it's a risk worth taking. And I don't foresee too many Indian fielders ducking for cover in the remaining 5 minutes.

Weird drop. Looked like he had it. No chance we can bat out the day tomorrow barring a miracle ton from one of these two and then a quickfire 50 from Prior/Stokes/Broad/Plunkett.

Thanks for that. I was really wondering what Piers Morgan would do.
Tbh I was gonna write a big long whinge about how stupid he is and yet how at the same time it isn't the worst possible solution because we are so bereft of options at the minute but I cbf so I did it in this reply instead

Ftr you're a **** too

I know Vijay took a wicket in the first innings but Dhawan looks an infinitely better bowler to me.
Dhawan was putting nothing on the ball at all. I reckon he only beat the inside edge a couple of times because Vijay had been turning it from that end before.

Broad has to be the closest of those still around?
Good grief no.

We actually need someone from outside this cozy little cuddle to put the fear of God up some of the guys who've been living of past glories for too long now. Not least of the any new guys' duties is to persuade Broad to pitch the bloody ball up or to piss off to third man for the rest of the innings. Preferably at both ends.

Heh. Nah I wouldn't recall someone and make them captain. It's all a bit 90s-Pakistan. Realistically it would have to be Broad or Anderson, maybe Bell.

Although it would be satisfying to have the Irish guy tell all the English ****s what to do all the time.
