You lot are all so obtuse, how can you not see the plan? Ishant has once again been played into the team before Root and Moeen hit match-winning hundreds.

I've read that script too, but I fear that a copy might not have found its way into the Indian dressing room

Ahh. Isn't that an utterly insane decision? Or am I missing something?
Ashwin going wicketless in that infamous first test in South Africa was the final straw in a series of disappointing performances. Jadeja replaced him in the second test and immediately picked up a 6fer to hold on to the spot.

Edit: I note that PEWS provided the answer a few posts down, but **** him anyway.

I get what you mean - but its a good job there aren't many Australians here at the moment to suggest you move that to the Girl Trouble thread
always a good job for me, Exhibit A: Jono's contributions to this thread.

Well with Dhoni at 6 there's no reason not to play both. Surely they don't lose a lot of batting by including Ashwin instead of Binny.

Although it might just be that the current selection is a mess for so many reasons that lots of changes would be an improvement, and I'm picking up on a sub-optimal one.

Ashwin's daddy isn't a national selector.

So I just did a FaceTime call home and all was looking rosy at 66-1

Refresh cricinfo after the call. I believe the phrase popular on the web these days is 'well that escalated quickly'

It depresses me how predictably turd we are. Worst part is I have a feeling we will fight back tomorrow to give us hope before falling short, just like against SL

It's a sad day when the impending football season offers me relief from this circus

You know what, I like Cook. When KP got the job in 08 I said we should groom Cook to be next, a la the filth with Clarke and was pleased when we did

But hey ho, you live and learn. He always goes through lean patches here and there but it's obviously to all and sundry that the captaincy is killing his form

And he's just a bit David Moyesesque isn't he? Remember when the last day got aborted due to rain at OT last year. He admitted that we would have lost without it. We all knew it but **** that, I wanted him to say "yeah I was pretty confident we could dig in and save the test with a few wickets to spare so it was a shame to see play curtailed." Much like Moyes admitting Liverpool were favourites against United. I didn't dwell on it at the time but hey, it is what it is. He has to go. Sadly.

It only figures that Dhoni wants Binny dropped at all cost, and is showing a big finger to Roger's selection committee. Doesn't bowl him, and drops catches off his bowling.
