Barca have had so much **** with Arsenal in the past. The destination of Sanchez will pretty much decide my ultimate feeling towards them. Will lose my **** if he goes to Liverpool.

On Debuchy, like others I haven't seen a lot of him, but Deschamps think he's better than Sagna and I wasn't ever optimistic of getting a replacement as good, so it's hard to look at it with disappointment. He's a right back, of course you're not going to get really excited about it to the extent you would with Alexis ****ing Sanchez.

Few reports/rumours that Kroos to Real is done. Would be hilarious if after months and months of rumours with United, he joins Real after a few days of speculation.

I didn't rate Debuchy last year, but this year he was damn good whenever I watched Newcastle. Solid defensively and gets forward a lot; would be really good for Arsenal theoretically.

It's sad that Suarez is leaving. Even with all the risk involved in keeping him he was that brilliant that a part of me feels gutted he's going. We might replace his goals to an extent but his impact on games, even when he didn't score, is something that's really rare. He never, ever, let up on the field.

Murmurs are from some Barca fans that this is a foreshadowing of Messi leaving next year.

Sp*rs building a new 56k stadium. Always resigned to being the second biggest in the area then.

The word on the street is that Sanchez has a verbal agreement with Arsenal, but they're only offering £25m whereas Liverpool are offering 30-35 (much closer to his real value IMO). I think Arsenal will eventually just up their bid accordingly- even if they only value him at 25, they can't let Liverpool have him.

Yeah I've read the same thing, that he'd prefer to go to Arsenal but Liverpool are offering more and want to include him as part of the Suarez deal (which I'm now hearing won't happen).

Even £35m would be good value for a player of Sanchez' quality in today's market IMO - I reckon Barca are undervaluing him.

Apparently Arsenal have now upped their bid to £32m. Hope this is true.
According to a few sources, that is Barca's valuation of him. Would be a virtual steal at that price IMO, inasmuch as any £30m+ signing could be considered so.

I remember the Rooney and Ferdinand transfers being called insane years ago. 30m now seems to be the standard for a top class player.

edit:Same with the Anelka, Petit and Overmars transfers as well

United got it dead right with those 2 IMO. Have a hunch we'll be saying the same thing about Shaw.

Funny thing is on our side it seems the word is that we don't want to part with 35-40m on Sanchez and would rather it all cash.

Apparently, Liverpool has bid 20m on Lovren. Starting to feel sorry for Southampton. They've lost Shaw, Lallana and Lambert, and look like they're losing Lovren and Schneiderlin too. Can't remember the last time a team lost arguably their 5 best players in one transfer window.

Yeah, just illustrating how times have changed. With sponsorship and TV deals going through the roof I can see them going higher. Imagine in 10 years time what some of the deals will look like.

In hindsight those deals were probably the equivalent of spending like 50m on a defender and a teenager these days.

It's a question of whether you'd rather have someone who was consistently just below average, or someone who could do something occasionally very good but most of the time was a defensive liability. Admittedly he performed better this season but even so, look at any of our thrashings from the second half of the season and I'll bet you'll find poor Debuchy defending contributing to a goal. Also I love Danny.

Edit: I'm not being fair, he was injured for a lot of the end of the season. Maintain my opinion though.

Really rate how Southampton have handled themselves this window tbh.

Must stop believing Sanchez is going to happen - my god.

Interesting this about the Shaw deal is it's only a four year deal and he's a diehard Chelsea fan. If United don't re-establish themselves quick time then the summer leading up to 17/18 could be interesting.
