Nope. Not at the moment. From what I've seen, if I was to rate the bowlers in this country at their best I'd go:

1. Tim Southee
2. Trent Boult
3. Doug Bracewell
4. Ben Wheeler
5. Matt Henry
6. Neil Wagner
7. Mitchell McClenaghan
8. Adam Milne
9. Hamish Bennett
10. Bevan Small

I was a massive fan of Small a few years ago, injuries really seem to have taken a toll on his body and overall action. Hopefully he can get back to what he looked like when he was 19/20.
Rather than at their best, what would your 4-prong pace attack be if there was test next month & both Southee and Boult were unavailable?

At the same time your lot had Southee, Boult, Verma, Mathieson. Two went off the boil but all four looked good.

Canterbury had Anderson and Stokes in an allternate universe lol.

Rating Wheeler aren't you. What do you like so much? His last PS season wasn't anything special was it?
Averaged mid 20's iirc, was injured for parts of it. He had two really good seasons beforehand though, one during the 09/10 season and another during the 12/13 season. He was pretty close to playing for New Zealand back in 2010, it was a shoot out between he and Bracewell, unfortunately for Wheeler he got hurt and Bracewell went to Zimbabwe.

But yeah I really rate him. Find him very similar to Boult, except he's a touch taller so he gets abit more bounce. Mid 130's, could touch 140. Nice strong action and shapes the ball back into the right hander. He's one of those guys whose done well in first class cricket since his debut, something that always gets a big tick from me, especially being as young as he was.

The problem with this is that you seem to lack a basic level of understanding around what a model actually is.
I'm well aware of what a statistical model is, my research area is human-computer/robot interaction. Everything else you wrote I agree with, I just didn't realise the extent of complex models used in cricket, because I'm not actively paying attention to it. Which is why it would be great to see these things on TV, similar to what they do with baseball.

The most painful thing about this loss is having to sit here and read all these Blocky posts without being able to come back as I would like because ultimately we lost.

Ramdin I hate you!!!!!!!!!!!!
