Ironic that this looks like the one pitch that Sodhi could have actually be a handful if he could hit a line or length.

If you just sit in the crease and let him dictate terms, then yes, extremely difficult on a wicket like this.
Yeah indeed, but that quicker ball specifically must be really hard to pick up. Looks like a normal delivery all the way then just keeps on coming at you and gets under the bat.

Craig has a 40 run test batting average. Should open with him just so we can brag about having test openers both with >40 average.

In other news... we suck.

300 will be ok if a team bowls well but obviously you want 400+ batting first every time.

rutherford - ...
latham - good inswinger from roach
KW - good ball
taylor - good back of a length ball
mccullum - got himself out
neesham -
watling - good bowling
southee - good bowling to a tailender

we've made the pitch look flatter than it is through good batting from KW and Taylor and an all you can eat buffet from the windies in between their good deliveries. they've been wildly veering between brilliant and woeful with their bowling in this innings imo. i'll be keen to see beamer andd kyears take on today so far.

If Craig is going to be a regular in the team he surely must bat above Southee, who has frankly been Rubbish the last few seasons, good for a quick 20 but that's about it.

LOL

The Sky host bemused by the fact that we're witnessing such a spin friendly pitch in a part of the world where we normally see pace friendly pitches.

Is it 1981?

Where do they dig these amateurs up from?

Tbf, I'd accept an average of 20 from a number 8 batsman in Test cricket.
