I know of one that ended on the last ball - England v South Africa in 1948-49. Won by one wicket too, I think.

Nah, I really like it, because it recognizes that the circumstances for players in both teams can be so different and a direct comparison between players from different teams is unfair. Think of dravid in England last time. If it had been any other country, Broad would've got mots with no mention for Dravid. But while Broad was obviously great, Dravid's performances came amidst a shambles of a team and deserved some recognition.

So I guess the easiest solution to Cook's request that something needs to be done about Warne's criticism of his captaincy is to take the captaincy away from him.

The other option would be for Cook to lead his team to victory, but he hasn't taken that option.
