Moeen really needs better control of length if he's going to become a decent international bowler. Creeps far too short too often.



You've been impressed with Sanga? Been one of the worst innings I've seen him play, incredibly lucky to still be out there. Looked slightly more convincing in the last 25-30 minutes, but it's not been a good innings by any means.

In the past he hasn't been out there long enough to look scratchy.

He's hardly alone in that, given the amount of whining we heard about him from the usual suspects who are quite happy to dish it out.

That being said, it's all pretty unedifying and not his most impressive contribution.

Seam more than swing IMO. Fair bit of zip off the deck, definitely tricky to play against a quality attack.

I've not seen anything to suggest that he can't take it himself.

But yes he needs to cut it out - I think OTT aggression is unnecessary and damaging for the game.

I dunno what the pitch is like, but I'm guessing 182-5 is probably a little behind the 8 ball (given our seamers are pretty bad), our position is especially vulnerable given the weakness of our tail, gonna need a big partnership here, but then again, these two guys both have the ability in these conditions, Chandimal is probably gonna have to conquer the short ball though

That will not go down well. IF Mathews is something in resemblance to being set next time around will target Anderson for the long handle. He is capable and last person he picked to do was Mitchell Johnson few years back, and gave hin a pasting.

Some serious swing on offer and English seamers ar bowling beautifully. Mathews squandared his chance to go big. England was not having any answers the pace he was batting. That bit of fish outside off with hards hands cost hom the wicket.

Kule is not playing. It will be Mathews, Eranga and Pardeep to find movement. Prasad is bit of a hit the deck type of bowler. If he gets some movement will be quite slippery to handle.
