Taylor to Rutherford, no run, fires a full delivery outside off, another loose attempt to drive from Rutherford and he gets beaten

Taylor to Rutherford, no run, it's his lucky day! Rutherford goes for the drive again, this time he gets an outside edge.. It just drops short of Gayle at first slip.. Seize is license, somebody

Taylor to Rutherford, OUT, oh poor Rutherford! He decides not to drive finally, but this one is full and coming in with the angle from round the stumps. Rutherford shoulders arms to the wrong one - he didn't judge the line there at all.. it swung in too. The umpire lifts his finger - that was always going to go against Rutherford
 Rutherford

Still, he's done better on his first trip to the Caribbean than his old man did.

Good bowling to bowl the third ball at the stumps knowing Ruds would probably shoulder arms after his poor previous strokes. Taylor has been awesome in this match.

Really poor strategy by NZ in my view. Trying to just defend at 2 an over will never work for a team like this.

Seriously WI, I like Benn and all and Gabriel did pick up one or 2 wickets but the attack really should be: Roach, Taylor, Holder and Narine !!! If they don't get a shot in the 3rd test, hopefully they can be blooded in the 2 test series vs Bangledesh.

Hoping we can at least take this to tomorrow, but either way, well done WI. They've been the better team on all 4 days of the test, and fully deserve to win.

Oof, that looked a shambles of an innings by Rutherford. I was kinda hoping he could find a bit of touch against an older ball and a tired attack, but he's just a wreck atm. I guess if you're the charitable type you could put some of it down to the illness that he picked up earlier in the match, but it's tough to see how anyone could win reselection on the back of this performance.

Disappointed with the shots that were played to get out. Looks like only Latham got a genuine wicket ball. The rest were pretty soft.

Rutherford should be sent away to FC cricket for at least a whole season before being reconsidered. He just won't survive at Test level with his current technique, shot selection & temperament.

Agree, that Latham dismissal was rather freakish, nothing he could have done.

Hard to drop Benn IMO. He's been pretty fantastic.

I'd be looking Roach, Taylor, Benn, Narine.

Quite disappointed in Taylor and Williamson, to be honest. I wasn't expecting much from Rutherford, and Neesham and Latham copped great deliveries/a freak catch. But Taylor and Williamson's dismissals were extremely poor.

Should be a fun third Test with the series on the line and what's looking like one solid win apiece. Still hoping Watling and Craig/Boult can put on another 100 and give us something to bowl at though :D

I'm not counting my chickens yet, we've still got two wickets to get and the pitch isn't exactly awful for batting yet. So proud of the bowlers today though, they were absolutely relentless. Can't help but think King Curtly is having a positive effect on them.

IMHO Jerome Tauylor has been head and shoulders above any other bowler in this match, including Boult and Southee. Beautiful control with both the new and old ball. I'm just so happy he's back. Kemar is also starting to look a bit better now as he gets more bowling under his belt. Can't really criticise Benn today, he plugged away very well all day. I think Narine may well have caused havoc, but that's just speculation. My attack in Barbados would be Taylor, Roach, Holder and Narine but I can't complain now if they go with two spinners.

I thought New Zealand tried very hard and this team clearly has am excellent spirit and attitude. They might have got their strategy wrong and gone a little too defensive, I think they should have occasionally showed more intent. Having said that, they didn't receive too many loose deliveries today.

My sentiments exactly !!!

I thought it was going down leg when I saw it live. But the 1st replay showed it was absolutely plumb as the ball had started swinging back into him. Hawkeye just confirmed it.
Fair enough. Despite what Ian Taylor tells me I still don't trust it.

Gee Ross' shot to get out was soft. And the Windies field like farm goats all Test then Benn pulls that off to get Jimmy...wow.

Lord Pidg won't gift his wicket, and we know BJ is as tough as it comes. They'll make them sweat a bit tomorrow.
