Any of our League 1 following contingent seen much of Dele Alli? Seems he's on his way to Liverpool.

Seems like a good time to start this thread
Would be.

Anyway bit of a loaded start with Pompey at home and the Slime away, Bournemouth in the League Cup. very mouthy start.

Hopefully will help our cash-flow probs though, so certainly not complaing. Even though I'd prefer the Slimey match at Easter or Xmas, but those days seem to have gone.

Bah, Hartlepool away is the one I was looking for, kid brother is in uni at Newcastle so the plan was to make a weekend of it. And it's on a date where I can't go and even if I could pretty sure he would still be at home

And looking down those fixtures it really hits me that we got relegated. This sucks.

So all of them bar themselves? Brutal. Didn't united have a similar start last year?

I have to admit though, I don't really get the excitement of fixture release day. Saw people on my twitter TL saying they were going to wake up early. Apart from who we're playing opening day and maybe a couple of the big games, I'll just forget them all by mid August anyway.

If United aren't up there, either at the top, or in the top 3 after 5 games, I can't see them having a good season. They start with Swansea, Sunderland, Burnley, QPR and Leicester. Should really be 5 wins out of 5.

Haha I always look forwards to it and then after about 30 seconds of looking at the fixtures wonder why. And then repeat it the following year.

Tbf when we had teams like Bolton, Wrexham etc in the same division, I relished fixture day. This season as I said it's just the confirmation of our current standing.

Bury at home last day though. Really hope whoever we've got in defence kicks Lowe off the pitch en route to us winning the league :whistling

Seem to remember after their first 5 games last season they had 5 bankers which were guaranteed to bring them to the fore. They didn't.

Sadly I can't see them struggling as much this time out and as such I think Arsenal might actually lose that steady grip on 4th
