I've been really disappointed in the pitch. I wasn't expecting much help for the seamers but it's just been too slow for even the spinners to be a real threat without the pitch misbehaving.

Keir Bettley or Lance Dry would be paying $3.25 tonight, at BlockyTab.

Boult's pace is interesting. He speeds up noticeably in countries which aren't favourable for pace bowling. It's such a huge difference in speed too. In England he was barely above 130. The only other bowler who springs to mind with such a pace contrast is Steyn's swing spell vs his angry spell.

Beautiful bowling by Southee here. Gayle is doing well just to stay in. He had to play at most of those. At least he's looking to get inside the delivery once he realises he's messed up. Other openers would be out about three times already.

How many times has Southee beaten Gayle? It must be at least 80% of the deliveries he's bowled to him.

Top bowling.

The Windies openers have done well to survive Southee and Boult. Now the NZ bowling attack quality drops considerably, so they can start cashing in.
