So I'm guessing cricinfo have it wrong? Because they have Powell down as a 34 year old yet to even play FC cricket.
They are mixing him up with another guy!!... HERE is the boy's record and as you can see he played for Jamaica u19s last season.

There was enough time for the batsmen in the middle, IMO. Yeah it was difficult and probably hard to work on specific shots, but if they had specific things they needed to work on then they can do that in the nets.

It also looks like they had the opportunity to face some very capable pace bowlers.
In truth though Hendrix it doesn't look good how NZ collapsed twice to a second string eleven..especially when the attack they will be facing at Sabina is a million times more dangerous.

Terrible match really. Clearly the pitches weren't up to snuff. Unacceptable for any sort of professional team to have to play in those conditions.
Williamson top scored in the first dig and Taylor the second. The true silverbacks of NZ batting, like Corey Anderson, Hamish Rutherford and Peter Fulton, were always going to get pissy and terse and never have a chance with such cheeky and slipshod agrifaith being presented to them. So that was the quite good aspect of it itbt.

I wouldn't go that far. The scores weren't that low.
It isn't something you judge by scores. A pitch so dangerous that during actual play they have to go to a different one after the second day? In no way should anyone outside of schoolboy cricket have to play on something that quality and for no more than a day.

Did Ronchi do any 'keeping in either warm-up? If so, nail him on for #7. If not, it's 50/50 IMO.

You can't have it both ways around bro. You can't say that Craig's success was due to the conditions while also saying it doesn't look good how NZ collapsed. At the end of the day it was a comfortable win.

Pick either one. Either say

a)it was a nightmare of a pitch, in which case Taylor's and Williamson's innings look like very good batting and a good sign going into the tests, while Craig's performance can be written off.
or b) NZ's batting was poor against a second string attack, but the bowler's efforts were very impressive.

Baz coming back into the middle order is going to bolster the batting significantly and considering i'm picking Taylor and KW to average low 40s, with Baz and Watling mid-high 30s that really does show how ****ed we are. Picking us never to make 250 unless its a total road, but our bowlers should skittle them every other innings and keep things competitive.

A few predictions:

Top Scorer: Chanders

Top NZ scorer: Taylor

Top Wicket taker: Boult

# of WI Centuries: 3 (Chanders and Bravo)

# of NZ Centuries: 1. (KW)

# of WI 5w: 2. (Benn, Shillingford)

# of NZ 5w: 4. (Southee, Boult)

I am going to post a draft competition for the series in about an hour from now. You won't pick players in a watson et al draft ie taking turns. I have something else in mind. Are you jokers happy for me to post it in this thread or do you want a seperate thread? If no responses I will post it in this thread.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
What I'd like from the squad:

Latham
Rutherford
Williamson
Taylor
McCullum
Anderson
Watling+
Neesham
Southee
Boult
Craig

Craig to best Agar imo. 100 from 11 in a partnership of 200+ with Neesh
