How long have you lived in Yorkshire YL?? TBF your idea of not that cold and that of most of the SL players might be just a tad different.wasn't that cold to be fair!!
Yes Maximas and I will be at old Trafford on wed too..were you at the game?
Ha ha good shout Adders,20 years in Yorkshire makes ya tough plus I suppose that amount of beer is insulating too!! Yeah real good laugh yesterday, few beers, but of a baila singing (Local SL music),bit of friendly banter with the barmy army and eventually sharing a couple more beers with them after.-ooh and a bit of cricket too lol..on a serious note- good to see my team showing character yesterday.win or lose..How long have you lived in Yorkshire YL?? TBF your idea of not that cold and that of most of the SL players might be just a tad different.
Congrats on the win and I'm glad you enjoyed the day.......outside the BA I reckon the Sri Lankan supporters have the most fun at the cricket, looked like you had some good support up in Durham.
20 years in Yorkshire does not make you tough........it just means you've adapted to life without a sun20 years in Yorkshire makes ya tough .
This was about the commentators, not forummers. Otherwise would carry the "offending" quote. So, in a thread where no one has said a single thing about Senanayake's action, you bring it up.
What was it Shakespeare said? Methinks he doth protest too much?
Well I think there were concerns about his actions before he bowled well here, so the last bit is reactionary nonsense, Also I love that SLC doing so many checks on his action is such a brilliant thing. Surely that it shows even they have doubts, so why the heck is it ridiculous to mention his action ourselves.Well that was a fantastic performance by our boys today and it was lovely being there to see it.our bowlers similar my bowled excellent lines and lengths.@grecian-ur entitled to your opinion of course but it has been noted that SLC is doing regular checks on Satchis action as they had concerns too, but nothing shows it is outside the regulations -sorry pal.well done SL..shock horror spinner from the subcontinent has mad skills so he must be cheating...
I've never asked for legitimacy, it's all my opinion, quite frankly I think the law is an ass.SLC only got him checked cos he got called for a 'suspect action' on overseas 'A' tours from what I've read (Migara seems to know more about this whole thing but he's never given a source), I don't think they did it out of their own concern (this isn't the ECB), he got cleared by people whose job it is to know exactly how to measure these things accurately and monitor them, so forgive us if we never really take it seriously when you try to claim legitimacy as well as call people 'filthy chuckers". You may of course believe his action simply looks bad and you prefer to watch those with less bend (ftr I usually do) but I think people sitting at home watching TV would have very little idea of whether the law is being broken or not.
Ok fair enoughI've never asked for legitimacy, it's all my opinion, quite frankly I think the law is an ass.

Glad you enjoyed the day, hopefully the result isn't quite as enjoyable at OT.........but unless we can learn to catch and bat before then I suspect you may be having a celebratory hangover on Thursday.
Since the 12 degree extension, McGrath and Pollock was mentioned in the same line, we are going offensive.Tbf, you can hardly blame the Lankan supporters for being a bit touchy on this subject. Their country brought the game a dead set genious who was never offered the respect he deserved from some (large) quarters. Hardly surprising that they are getting on the defensive early with Senanayake.
its not a ridiculous thing mate, as i said before you are perfectly entitled to your opionion on him..as for my last statement, sorry, that was a bit of a tongue in cheek joke..I think that SLC want to ensure that he keeps clean in terms of his action becuase they know, as much as us SL fans do, that he will be the key spinning weapon for us in the future and we want to ensure that we dont lose him due to him being called for throwing ( which would be perfectly correct IF he is proven to have an illegal action btw)..Well I think there were concerns about his actions before he bowled well here, so the last bit is reactionary nonsense, Also I love that SLC doing so many checks on his action is such a brilliant thing. Surely that it shows even they have doubts, so why the heck is it ridiculous to mention his action ourselves.
Anyway Migara bought this discussion up, no-one else.
